Riding without a saddle gives you a different feel for the horse and its movement. This experience starts slowly, giving you time to find your balance and get comfortable before heading out along the beach.

The ride then continues through the dunes and forest, where you’ll experience different types of ground and learn to adapt your position as the horse moves.

Throughout the ride your guide offers advice on balance, position and how to feel more comfortable with the horse. If you’re feeling confident, you can also try different paces along the way.

How Your Ride Unfolds

01 – Get comfortable

Start at a relaxed walk and take some time to get used to the feeling of riding without a saddle.

02 – Ride along the beach

Once you feel comfortable, head towards the beach and enjoy the horse’s natural movement at a relaxed pace.

03 – Through the dunes and forest

Continue through the dunes and forest, experiencing different terrain and learning how your position changes with the ground.

04 – Find your balance

Your guide will give you tips throughout the ride to help you improve your balance and feel more at ease with the horse.

05 – Try a different pace

If you feel comfortable and your guide feels it is appropriate, you can try riding at different paces before making your way back.

Before your ride, here are a few useful details.

Do I need previous experience?

You don’t need to be an experienced rider, but you should feel comfortable around horses.

What should I wear?

Comfortable trousers and closed shoes are recommended. Avoid shorts, as riding without a saddle can cause some rubbing.

Will we canter?

Only if you feel comfortable and your guide considers it appropriate. The pace of the ride is adapted to your confidence and riding ability.
